's private live show. After the first one I've had the pleasure to witness

, it has now become a semi-periodic and long awaited event in the busy calendar of Tokyo's kimbaku world.


Like last time, it was going to be a long event and we all sat down comfortably in the cozy tatami room that was going to be the set and background for the show. With the sound of shamisen, violin and piano mixed with modern rhythms, the show started: two hours of incredibly intense SEMENAWA (責め縄) or "torturous rope".  (Check out Nawashi Kanna's blogs entry for pictures here  and here . ).

Kanraku-san, his beautiful model, arrived dressed in a lovely kimono, and disrobed down to her red nagajyuban, it was time to start.

Starting with a ushiro-takatekote, he put a rope around her and attached it to the main column that was going from her chest harness to the suspension point. He then tied a rope around her thigh, wrapped her foot and secured to her other leg ending in a precarious one leg semi-suspension. As the theme tonight was "torture", he forced her to move and shift by pressing on her bound foot in a painful manner, causing then the ropes wrapped around her to bite in most unpleasant ways.

The pace had been set, and I knew that this was not going to be some pretty rope that hurts as a consequences, but the pain was going to be the focus of each tie and position.

In the following tie, he put the arms in front of her in a ji-ai 自愛 tie on her upper body. He then put her to lay on one side, with one leg secured vertically along the main column and the other one tied folded. This time the torture took the form of painful pressure and gripping grabs on her legs and foot and toes that coupled with the strenuous position of her legs, added to the pain.

In spite of  lack of movements, it was obvious from the trembling that it hurt, and I shifted on my seat.

Her upper body disrobed with the nagajyuban down around her waist, this time her hands and arms got bind together above her head and attached to the suspension point. Made to sit down cross legged, her legs got wrapped with rope and secured to each other. Again, as the theme was "torture", he then stepped on her thights creating a paniful pressure that brought her on the verge of tears. Over and over.

Stepping away, from her, he sat down and looked long and deeply in her eyes. At first she returned the gaze with a meek and sweet smile. Slowly but surely her expression changed, and under the lovingly sadistic stare of her Nawashi Kanna, she broke down in sobs. You could feel the tension and the electricity build up and when she started sobbing, I could not help but ache with and for her.

He knew he had started out rough but he also was not done and more painful torturous rope was to come. Rope untied, he checked in with her and to allow her to recover her bearing, he took some time to simply tease her nipples, letting the rope run back and forth, and rubbing it up and around.

It was time to continue, and this time her arms got tied asymmetrically behind her back with her fingers tied one by one and hands beautifully spread, a signature tie of Kanna-sensei. Chest rope secured to the suspension point, her legs were tied folded, rope run also between her toes, she was put balancing precariously on her knees. Putting pressure on her tied toes, he made her swing painfully around. Somehow this time he held back a bit, knowing that he was not done and she was getting close to her own limits.

Next with her arms bind behind her back in a style simple yet efficient, she was pushed in a kneeling position with her face to the ground, an from her waist wrap, a very painful crotch rope was secured to the suspension point, making sure that the tension would keep her unbalance and the rope would bit into her sensitive flesh. It was too much too soon and you could see the distress she was in (I believe she signaled to him by shacking her feet). He quickly rearranged the ropes balancing off the tensions, and staring reassuringly in her eyes, he spoke softly to her and proceeded to continue the torturing by pushing and pulling on her and the crotch rope.

Seeing how lovingly he rushed to adjust the ropes and yet how sadistically he continued was for me one of the highlight of today's experience.

And to close, he performed a suspension starting with a very painful variation of a kikkou shibari (very close to the hojo-jutsu style), with one leg pulled up by the thigh and the other by the ankle. He then wrapped rope around her toes and feet and attached then to her legs. And by putting painful pressure on her feet he made her move and swing around.

A little bit more and two hours had passed, and it was time to end the show.

It was totally different from the first show I had witnessed last summer. One big difference was how little suspension and yet how much more advanced all ties were. Not a single tie was repeated twice in the two hours long show and a lot of subtle (and not so subtle) torture was put in the rope, showing that there is much more to shibari than suspensions, and that actually you do not need it at all to create intese sexual painful sadistic rope play.

Another thing that shone through all the show was the focus and control he has on each single detail and how he gets just right the balance between focusing on the model's clues and needs and taking what he wants.
There was no doubt that he loved and cared for her deeply and that he would have stopped anytime if that would have been the right thing to do. However it was also clear with no doubt that he was going to put her through the paces and that he expected her to take it all.

For him, for her and for us.
