I’m working on the schedule of workshops and am wondering what people really want. We are already aware that there is a huge demand for introductory tutorials so will be holding at least one all-day class on the fundamentals on Saturday. Although this is aimed at beginners, it will be very useful to more experienced riggers who are unfamiliar with authentic techniques. In addition, there will be a more advanced session of equal length on Sunday.

Some of the possibilities include:

  • Nerve injury & bondage safety
  • Yin yoga & rope
  • Choosing & treating rope
  • Newaza techniques, i.e. bondage for people, not parcels
  • Takate-kote (box-tie)
  • Hip harness
  • Floor-based suspension
  • Practical shibari for play
  • Predicament bondage
  • Speed bondage
  • Bondage from the bottom, i.e. a sub’s perspective
  • Suspension basics

There might well be many subjects we haven’t considered. This is where we need your input. If you don’t tell us, we don’t know! So, please use the comments facility for your suggestions.
