This translates as 'knowledge & fun' and there should be something for everybody, whether you want to know more about the history of bondage, learn how a kimono is tied or just chill out with a shiatsu massage. The evening will wind down with a selection of relevant films, including some very rare material.

Tying techniques: Patrick will be explaining the way rope works and flows to help you tie more fluidly, beautifully and creatively.

Kimono tying: For kimono lovers, who are never quite sure of the correct way of wearing them and want to avoid typical Western faux pas, we have an expert who will be unravelling the secrets of kimono dressing and obi tying.

The History of Kinbaku: Nawashi Murakawa will be sorting the wheat from the chaff of the myths and truths about the evolution of modern shibari/kinbaku, illustrated with personal anecdotes from Japan and about his encounters with the masters of the art.

Rope from the bottom: Jesss of BeShibari with be talking about bondage from a submissive perspective: the whys, wherefores and how to optimise one's experience.

We also plan a Q&A session with a panel of rope tops and bottoms. We hope to represent the widest spread of gender/sexuality/preference possible so as to explore the many and varied dynamics of rope play. We'll do our best to answer curious enquiries from bondage virgins to knotty questions from old hands.

We apologise that we have had to cancel the hojojutsu demonstration due to unforeseen circumstances. I am trying to find a replacement but at this stage of the game, it would be a miracle!
