my alice exhibition is now being scheduled for mid april next year - a month ahead of when originally envisaged - span art gallery , who are organising the show at the much bigger bunkamura gallery in shibuya, want it to coincide with the stéphane blanquet exhibition at their own gallery - not quite sure why, unless stephane coming to tokyo for it and eager to see my work at the same time - (it does also exactly coincide with tim burton’s alice hitting japan) - anyway, sooner better than later i suppose - because of the size of the gallery i’ve dragged in doll artist yuriko yamayoshi as a co-star for the show (i suspect she might be less happy about having one month less to get work done) - a quick phone call to editions treville, my publisher, confirms they’ll be able to get the book ready in time (hmm…. i hope!, usually it always takes at least several months) - approx 30 works (tho some already sold)

the pic above is my contribution to the alice group show currently running at span art - i’ve yet to be able to get my ailing body down to ginza to see it - the painting sold immediately (i priced it cheaply to ensure that, heh!)
